Haures Hangs Like A Bat
Another unexpected surprise came with the evocation of the Goetia Spirit Haures. The old masters
wrote that he always appeared in the form of a big cat but when he came to Aaron C. Donahue, he was very different.
Donahue writes: "A human-like figure falls into the circle from the temple ceiling above and behind
me. Bright red flames emit from the eyes of Haures."
To study Donahue's remote viewing drawing of this spirit, however, Haures looks very unhuman. He
is distinctly alien, almost skeletal, with flaming red eyes.
S. L. MacGregor Mathers wrote that Haures "appears as a leopard but will take human shape with fiery
eyes upon command."
Johann Wier wrote over 400 years ago that Haures "sheweth a terrible countenance, and fierie eies
(sic)."
Wier said Haures "gladlie talketh of the divinitie, and of the creation of the world, and of the
fall (sic)." If asked, this spirit will burn and destroy all enemies of the one who conjures him.
That Haures dropped upside down from the ceiling of the temple where he was evoked suggests that
in his dimension, perhaps on a ship in space, there is no right side up.
