Understanding The Word Of Nuit
"I am Nuit, and my word is six and fifty.

We are now confronted with one of the many mystery mathematical puzzles to be found within the Book
of the Law.
We briefly explored this formula earlier when we attempted to find an identity for Nuit. We followed
Aleister Crowley's interpretation after he followed the instructions to the letter. He
added 6 + 50=56. Then divided 6 by 50 and came up with 0.12.
Crowley then explained that he thought the "0" reflected the image of Nuit, who encircled everything,
and said he thought the period "." reflected Hadit, the invisible energy in the center.
But I believe there is much more to this verse.
Notice that Nuit said her "word" was six and fifty. Those are two distinct numbers that we must
address before doing the mathematics in her formula.
From the Cabala, which examines all things as numbers, we find that the number six is the mystic
number of Binah. In simple occult terms, Binah is Gaia. But more than this, she represents the body of the entire physical
universe. The number 50 represents the physical Earth. Thus Nuit is saying she is both the physical Earth as well as the physical
universe. She is what the Gnostics call the Mother Earth.
Adding these two numbers gives us a sum of 56. It is the number of the Egyptian Goddess Nu, from
whom we acquire the full name of Nuit. From the Cabala we learn that this is a number for "terror" or "dread." At this point
in the equation, Nuit suggests her ultimate power as creator and lord over all things.
Adding the numbers five and six gives us a sum of 11. And this is among the more interesting numbers
to be found so far.
From the Golden Dawn, we learn that the number 11 represents the Magnum Opus, or the Great Work.
It is the special number of not only Nuit, but also Hadit and Ra-Hoor-Khuit. Nuit proclaims that "My number
is 11, as all their numbers who are of us." Hadit says in Chapter Two: "I am the Empress and the
Hierophant, thus eleven as my bride is eleven."
Nuit also instructs us to multiply. Fifty times six produces the number 300. This great number represents
Khabs, or the great energy that produces the light within each star, and Elohim, an ancient name of God.
