The Planet X Myth

Among the strange myths circulating in the world is the belief by some that a lost, wildly circulating and inhabited “twelfth” planet exists that visits our solar system every 3,600 years and brings havoc on Earth.

This planet has been given many names. Ancient text refers to it as Nibiru. Another reference in ancient Sumerian text refers to it as Marduk. It has been called Vulcan and most recently Planet X.

Author Zecharia Sitchin has been the primary promoter of the Planet X theory. In his books and lectures, he has drawn from ancient Sumerian stories, the Hebrew Old Testament story of Genesis, the Epic of Gilgamesh and the Book of Enoch to weave together his theories of not only regular visits by Planet X, but by an alien race that inhabits it. The ancient names for these aliens were the Anunnanki and the Nefilim.

Another author, Barbara Hand Clow, in her book The Pleiadian Agenda, claims that two other alien races, the Reptilians and the Anunnaki, share this planet even today. Clow suggests that these races came to Earth from the planet Niberu about 3,600 years ago. She believes the aliens manipulated the DNA of primates on Earth to create humans to work as their slaves and created our complex religious belief systems to make sure we remain trapped in their elaborate program of social control.

The Epic of Gilgamesh, perhaps the oldest surviving book translated from clay tablets found in Sumerian ruins and dating back to the third millennium B.C. includes a reference to the Anunnaki. One text reads: “When the Anunnaki, the judges, come together, and Mammetun, the mother of destinies, together they decree the fates of men.” The text states that the Anunnaki were the children of Anu, “lord of the firmament.”

The Book of Enoch, discovered in Ethiopia in 1771, refers to 200 angels that came to Earth to mate with the women. Led by a high angel named Azazyel, the angels produced giant men who ate so much they soon consumed all of the food. After this they fed on the animals and even the flesh of men. Enoch wrote that humans were taught by the angels to make swords, knives, shields, breastplates, mirrors, jewelry, paints and dyes, cosmetics, and find and cut valuable stones. They also taught sorcery, the use of roots and plants for medicine, astronomy, astrology and the importance of the motion of the moon.

The Sixth Chapter of Genesis speaks of the Nefilim, or giants identified as “the sons of the gods who married the daughters of man in the days before the great flood.” The name Nefilim is said to be translated to mean “those who have come down to Earth from the heavens.

Indeed, the old surviving stories all agree that our planet was visited by “gods,” or “angels” or some kind of alien visitor from another world. The existence of ancient rock carvings depicting humanoid figures wearing a strange apparatus on their heads that resemble the helmets worn by modern astronauts while in space suggest alien visitors once walked among us.

There is evidence that alien races once came to Earth. Some believe we are still living under the iron thumb of the so-called Reptilians who have forced humans into bondage for thousands of years. But if they came from the stars, what was their origin? Could the Sitchin theory hold any validity?

While archaeologists and many scientists have laughed at Sitchin’s work and claim that there is no such thing as Planet X, two astrophysicists, John Matese and Daniel Whitmire from the University of Louisiana are now theorizing that a twelfth mystery planet may, indeed, exist in our solar system. They have even named it Tyche.

If it exists, Matese and Whitmire suggest that Planet Tyche is a gas giant, composed mostly of hydrogen and helium, and is hanging out in the Oort cloud of asteroids some 15,000 times farther from the Sun than Earth.

Astronomers have never seen such a planet. If it exists, Tyche would not support life as we know it, and certainly would not be the home to intelligent alien beings that look like us.

Author Drunvalo Melchizedek, in his book The Ancient Secret of the Flower of Life, suggests that they came from Mars many thousands of years ago after destroying that planet and making it uninhabitable for life. He warns that the aliens brought modern technology and the quest for materialism with them, which is now putting Earth in similar peril.

That sightings of UFOs have become common all over the world, and old art works show images of saucer-shaped ships in the sky suggest that our planet has been visited regularly by beings from other worlds and perhaps other dimensions.

While the existence of Planet X or Nibiru has never been proven, we must conclude that it is highly likely that we are not alone in this universe, and that alien races may, indeed, have had a major influence on human history. If contemporary psychics are right, that influence has been much more than it ever should have been.
