Ancient Bible Prophecy Refers to the Destruction Of the United States
There is a story in the Old Testament about Nebuchadnezzar, king of the ancient empire of Babylon, who had a disturbing
dream and asked the prophet Daniel to interpret it.
In the dream, the
king saw a great image, apparently of a man, which had a head "of fine gold, its breast and its arms of silver, its belly
and its thighs of bronze, its legs of iron, its feet part of iron and part of clay."
Nebuchadnezzar said that in his
dream, he saw a stone miraculously cut away "without hands" and that the stone "smote the image upon its feet that were of
iron and clay, and broke them to pieces." As the feet crumbled, the entire image toppled and smashed into pieces. Then the
stone that smote the image "became a great mountain and filled the whole earth."
Daniel's interpretation became a prophetic
warning of events that some scholars say have all occurred. He said the head of gold represented the great Babylonian Empire,
which would be followed by the Medo-Persian Empire (silver breast and arms), the Greek Empire (bronze parts) and lastly the
Roman Empire (iron legs).
But Daniel, who was a powerful psychic with the ability to see future events with clarity, seems to have missed
the significance of the mixed iron and clay in the feet of this image.
Both Daniel and the writer of the Book of Revelation
referred to images of a beast with ten horns rising up in the last days:
(Dan 7:7 After this I saw in the night visions,
and behold a fourth beast, dreadful and terrible, and strong exceedingly; and it had great iron teeth: it devoured and broke
in pieces, and stamped the residue with the feet of it: and it [was] diverse from all the beasts that [were] before it; and
it had ten horns.)
(Rev 17:3 So he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness: and I saw a woman sit upon a
scarlet colored beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns.)
The Scofield Reference Bible states the views of most Bible
scholars, that these images of a beast with ten horns
is a glimpse of a rebirth of the old Roman Empire during a period that is at the end of the Gentile world domination. The
beast, or dragon, is a cluster of nations under the control of a single world leader. Could the dream image of a stone that
breaks the feet of iron and clay be another representation of this world dictator who becomes "a great mountain" and fills
the whole earth?
A few days ago I found an interesting historical account about how the District of Columbia was founded
as the site of our national government complex. It implied that the Roman Catholic Church was heavily involved in some kind
of secret agreement with the Scottish Rites Freemasons. President George Washington and many of the members of his administration
were Freemasons. According to this story, the property that became the District of Columbia was donated by the church from
the State of Maryland. It was plotted under the name "Rome."
In further research, I confirmed
that the State of Maryland ceded to Congress a piece of property ten miles square in 1788. The following year the State of
Virginia ceded another ten square acres, but the Maryland site was the one chosen by Washington in 1791. Private landowners
involved in the transaction were not named. The report said they were paid 25 pounds per acre for the land.
Richard
Hoagland, in a story posted on his web site, goes to great lengths to prove the strange symbolism of the date 9-11 chosen
for the attack on America. He notes that Masonic symbols are to be found all over the property. According to Hoagland, the
architect for the capitol building, Pierre Charles L'Enfante, was a French Freemason who belonged to the Order of Scottish Rite.
Whether
there is truth behind the story that our capitol was erected on property named "Rome" is probably not that significant. The
fact remains that the United States, now the last standing world superpower, suddenly meets all of the criteria of being the
last great Babylon; the beast that both Daniel and the author of the Book of Revelation saw rising out of the sea at the end
of days.
While Christians for years have cited the European Union as proof of the Revived Roman Empire, they overlooked
the possibility that America has been the culprit all along.
Understanding that the Book of Revelation was written long after the Babylonian Empire was history, read the 18th chapter, starting with verse eight. As you read,
think of the wealth of America, best represented by the World Trade Center in the heart of the great City of New York.
Verse
eight and nine warns that "her plagues come in one day, death, and mourning, and famine, and she shall be utterly burned with
fire. . . and the kings of the earth who have committed fornication and lived luxuriously with her, shall bewail her, and
lament for her, when they shall see the smoke of her burning. Standing afar off for the fear of her torment, saying, alas,
alas, that great city, Babylon, that mighty city! For in one hour is thy judgment come."
Verse 19 continues on to say
that "they cast dust on their heads, and cried, weeping and wailing, saying, alas, alas, that great city, in which were made
rich all that had ships in the sea by reason of her costliness! For in one hour is she made desolate."
We all have
vivid images of people caught in the thick dust from the collapse of those twin towers. That the towers represented the center
of world trade and business is clearly reflected in this prophetic message. Because of satellite television imagery, people
all over the world watched those towers burn and collapse. They watched from afar off. Within a single hour everything was
destroyed.
Now lets go back to the last part of Daniel's prophetic message to King Nebuchadnezzar concerning his dream
about the feet of mixed iron and clay.
Daniel said in Chapter 2:42-43: "And as the toes of the feet were part of iron
and part of clay, so the kingdom shall be partly strong and partly broken. And whereas thou sawest iron mixed with miry clay,
they shall mingle themselves with the seed of men; but they shall not adhere one to another, even as iron is not mixed with
clay."
It is my belief that Daniel was seeing the destruction of America when he used his psychic
powers to tap into the collective. He got it mixed with the fall of the old Roman Empire and did not realize that the feet
of the image represented a fifth and final empire that would rise up in the end times.
We are clearly a nation divided.
This government is weakened by greed, by big business more interested in profits than the common good of all, and by a rising
number of racial, religious and other special interest groups that want to either bring about change, or see it all topple.
My
fear is that the latter will be our fate.
