Buer;
The Holographic Demon

Over the years magickians have seen Buer, but they usually always give a description that is so varied, the real identity of this spirit has been a mystery.

While remote viewer Aaron C. Donahue discovered why the appearance changes, he probably didn't get any nearer to capturing the real essence of this Goetian Spirit than any of his predecessors.

That is because Buer is an alien who enjoys projecting himself in a variety of three-dimensional holographic shapes whenever he is summoned. Donahue's drawing is cropped to give you a better look at the image, so it fails to show the three disk shaped craft in the sky overhead.

For Donahue, Buer appeared as Pan, the legendary beast of love. For yet another magickian, who provided the only known drawing of Buer, he appears as a strange creature with the head of a lion, but with a wheel of animal legs said to whirl him from place to place. The writer of the Seagrave data said Buer always appears as a "Centaur, armed with a great bow. His skin is silver and shimmers like starlight. His hair is all white and his eyes are the colour of Mars."

I suspect this spirit has a few other interesting projections that, if they were known, would help explain many more of the Greek mythological creatures we remember.

Even Buer's sigil, at the bottom of the page, reminds us of a modern-day device for projecting images.

Buer is the tenth of the Goetian Spirits. He governs 50 legions of spirits and is said to teach the art of philosophy and logic, and is skilled in herbal medicine.
