Aaron: Signs Everywhere
That Christianity Is Dying

C. Donahue says film producer Mel Gibson did the world a great service when he produced the film The Passion of the Christ.
“Every time evil
makes a turn, good is the result,” Donahue told his Voice of Lucifer radio listening audience Sunday. “If you
want to kill Christ, just put him on the silver screen. Now when the Christians pray to their Jesus, they are praying to a
movie.”
He said billions of people
all over the world watched the Gibson film, either in public theaters or on home DVD players. Consequently the image they
have of the Jesus they worship is Gibson’s version, which portrays actor James Caviezel as Christ. Ironically, after
the film was released, Caviezel complained that everything he appeared in public people identified him as Jesus.
Donahue noted that radical
public statements by Christian televangelists like Pat Robertson in recent months . . . claiming that Israeli leader Ariel
Sharon’s massive stroke was a judgment by God . . . and that the people of Dover, PA “voted God out of their city”
when they voted out a school board that wanted to introduce intelligent design to science classrooms . . . are opening people’s
eyes.
“People are beginning
to look at (Christianity) for what it is,” Donahue said. “It is a cult of misery, suffering and death.”
He said the right-wing
Christian Republicans who now control our government are pressing to restructure the U. S. Supreme Court and get abortion
rights taken away from women, push for the teaching of creationism in public schools, and force prayer and Christian religious
symbols back into schools and public buildings.
But Christianity is an
angelic-inspired religious system built upon fear. People who ask Jesus into their hearts are actually inviting an angel to
enter them and possess them for the rest of their lives. Ministers threaten from the pulpits that failure to accept Jesus
will mean eternal damnation in a fiery Hell. Anyone who dares to worship another god is also damned to spend eternity in Hell.
The Christian faith supports
the oppression of women, opposes sexual and many forms of entertainment freedoms, and condones personal sacrifice for the
good of all. Jesus is an example of this sacrifice. He allegedly taught the concept of turning the other cheek.
Donahue says this philosophy
is completely backwards. He noted that public statues portray people who suffered during their lives for the good of society.
They usually depict soldiers killed in battle, or public figures like assassinated presidents.
He noted that we never
see a statue of Dr. Timothy Leary raising his arms in extreme joy in demonstration of the spiritual enlightenment brought
on by the psychedelic drug LSD.
Donahue said all of the
world religions sense that we are living at the end of times and they are looking for a messiah who will tell the people what
to do.
“That messiah is
here today,” he said. “There is no one messiah. We are all the messiah. The divinity is within us.”
