Aaron Predicts: “Tookie” Gets Clemency

By James Donahue

Dec. 11, 2005

Psychic and Prophet Aaron C. Donahue told his radio listening audience Sunday night that California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger will grant clemency to death row inmate Stanley “Tookie” Williams.

The governor’s office announced late Sunday that the decision would be announced sometime on Monday. Williams is scheduled for lethal injection execution at 12:01 a.m. Tuesday at San Quentin Prison.

Williams, 51, was sentenced to death in 1981 after he was found guilty of murdering four people during two robberies. He was founder of the Crips Street gang in South Central Los Angeles, which went on to become one of the most violent and widespread in the United States. Yet Williams says he is innocent of the four murders.

Since being condemned to death, Williams has renounced his gang past and been active in anti-gang work from his cell. In fact, he was nominated in 2000 for a Nobel Peace Prize for his work with gangs and youth.

Williams’ story was the subject of a cable television film, Redemption, starring Jamie Foxx.

Foxx and other celebrities including the rapper Snoop Dogg, actor Mike Farrell and activist Bianca Jagger have mounted a campaign for clemency the forced the issue into the front page as the deadline for Williams’ execution draws near.

Only the governor has the authority to commute a death sentence to life in prison in California. If granted clemency, Williams will serve life in prison without parole.
